Stephan Scheffler Vierter bei 100km DM – Zweiter in seiner Altersklasse

Am Samstag, den 2108.2021 startete der 32. 100km Lauf von Leipzig. Die Laufveranstaltung organisiert vom ortsansässigen Laufclub Auensee e.V Leipzig führte in einem 10km Rundkurs um den Auensee. Es wurde in drei verschiedenen Disziplinen gestartet 50km, 100km und die 10 x 10km Staffel. Über alle Disziplinen ging rund 230 Läuferinnen und Läufer bei bestem Laufwetter auf die Strecke.
 
Für ein neues Vereinsmitglied Stephan Scheffler ging es über 100km Distanz mit dem Ziel diesen unter 10 Stunden erfolgreich zu absolvieren. Trotz der kleinen Anzahl an Teilnehmern war es ein stark besetztes Teilnehmerfeld, da die Veranstaltung als einige der wenigen über diese Distanz stattfinden konnte.
 
In der 50km Disziplin konnte Alex Sellner LAC Passau souverän gewinnen mit einer Zeit von 3:17:04 und stellte hiermit einen neuen Streckenrekord auf.  In der Disziplin 100km konnte Julian Sinke von den Lauffreunden Leipzig mit einem deutlichen Vorsprung von 24:44min das Rennen für sich entscheiden. Er gewann in einer Zeit von 8:04 Stunden. Auf den Plätzen 2-5 hingegen wurde das Rennen deutlich enger ausgetragen. Für unser neues Mitglied hieß es nach 09:04.31 Platz 4 in der Gesamtwertung und Platz 2 in der Altersklasse M35.
