Nach vielen ausgefallenen Wettkämpfen machten sich einige Athleten des TV, organisiert von Tanja Petschel, auf nach Italien, um dort am Garda Trentino Halb Marathon bzw. dem 10 Kilometer Lauf teilzunehmen.

Bei bestem Laufwetter von 12 Grad und leichtem Regen gingen die Geiselhöringer an den Start . Dort waren zur Sicherheit der Starter einige Corona Hygiene Auflagen einzuhalten. So durfte unter anderem erst einem halben Kilometer nach dem Start der vorgeschriebene Mund Nasen Schutz abgenommen werden.

Für die TV‘ler war das aber kein Grund keine Bestzeiten zu laufen. Der TV G Abteilungsleiter Michael Kirchinger und Sebastian Putz kamen bereits nach 1:22 ins Ziel, Sascha Daniel mit 1:30 und Tanja Petschel mit 2:00. Auch auf der 10 KM Distanz waren die Damen super unterwegs. Veronika Prockl benötigte 69 Minuten und Steffi Putz bei Ihren ersten 10 km Lauf gar nur 51 Minuten was ihr den 7 Platz in ihrer Altersklasse brachte. Hans Stadler war wie immer flott unterwegs, in 1:08 schaffte er in seiner Altersklasse den fünften Platz.
